2024 AQS Guild Challenge Winners

The Village Quilters 2024 AQS Ultimate Guild Challenge culminated at the March Guild Meeting with a display of all entries, judged results and a viewer's choice award.  

The quilts that were judged to be the top eight have been submitted to AQS for the Ultimate Guild Challenge in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

Our challenge theme was to create a quilt based on a book.  We called it "Quilt Notes".  

Congratulations to all the participants!

The winner of first place and the guild's viewers choice award is Misunderstood by Jill Discordia, based on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

The winner of second place is Red Shoes by Diane Papin, based on The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

The winner of third place is Innocence by Annie Mueller, based on To Kill a Mockingbird.

Rounding out the top eight are:

-You Rock Girl by Janne Beynon

-Fly Me to the Moon by Jackie Trombly

-Witch (Wizard of Oz) by Tina Bielke

Our two alternates, in case a quilt is disqualified, are:

-Around the World in 80 Fabrics by Nancy Hutchins and 

-Harold by Robin Baus
